FAQs
What Kind of photography do you offer?
I mainly photograph families and kiddos. Growing up in a large family myself, I’ve always loved kids and know how important family photos are. That being said, I’m up to shoot pretty much anything! I’ve done my fair share of seniors, weddings, even a few graduations and other events. I’m always happy to discuss a new project!
Will you edit the photos from my session?
Absolutely! I never deliver raw, unedited files to my clients. I make sure your family looks beautiful in every way possible! However, I like to preserve the authentic, natural beauty of those images, and your family! I do not offer or use heavy photoshopping on any of my images. Something temporary, like a pimple, I’m always happy to work with, but I will not alter anyone’s features. The final edited photos are viewed during the Showcase and Ordering Session.
do you include digital images with the session?
I offer a boutique experience, something a little different to make sure you have beautiful art of your family in your home. The session price itself does not include any images; instead we schedule a Showcase and Ordering Session about two weeks after the session date. There, I walk you through picking out the right products for your home, whether that be albums, wall art, or anything in between. If you’re curious about how the process works, head on over to the investment page!
do you offer mini sessions?
I do! Mini sessions are only held on certain dates throughout the year and have a limited number of sessions available. Booking typically opens up 3-4 months in advance, and spots go fast, so be sure to keep an eye on them!
Can we do a session in my home?
Yes! I love doing in-home family and newborn sessions! It’s so much more meaningful and authentic to capture photos where you spend most of your everyday life. There are so many fun things to do in your home, like baking, playing board games, or even just reading to the kiddos. Don’t worry about if your home is “photogenic,” I promise you, it is!
What happens if there’s bad weather?
Weather can be so unpredictable! If there is bad weather and we’ve scheduled an outdoor session, I allow weather related rescheduling up to 48 hours before your session date. Sometimes moving your session in-home is an awesome fix! Having your family or newborn photos done in-home adds a little extra something special. I also love doing sessions in the rain, so if you and the family are down to get wet, so am I!
when will we get our printed products?
I totally understand that anxious, excited feeling while waiting for something you ordered, and I try to get your beautiful artwork of your family to you as soon as possible! It’s typically two weeks after the Showcase and Ordering session when your products are delivered. Editing, ordering, and ensuring all artwork is top quality takes a little time, and I would hate for any client to have less than quality products!
